Mission

USLEAP works for a globalization where all workers are treated fairly and paid a living wage--and where all corporations and governments must play by fair rules.

USLEAP believes that in a global economy, it is in the best interests of workers in the U.S. that workers in other countries have the freedom to fight to improve their wages and working conditions and overcome poverty.

USLEAP campaigns and initiatives are part of a growing movement to

  • stop the race to the bottom for workers in this country and abroad,
  • ensure that consumers can buy products made by workers paid fair wages and treated with respect, and
  • create a global economy where people have the opportunity to earn a decent living for their families, wherever they live, reducing the economic incentives to immigration.

USLEAP focuses specifically on Latin America.  Our current geographical focus is on Colombia, Central America, Ecuador, and Mexico.
